I invite you to step closer, to feel, and to see the world through my eyes.

I am Zlata Beord, a Kyrgyz-French artist by passport and in spirit, with Ukrainian-Russian roots blended deeply with the essence of Central Asia and the secular elegance of France.

My works are deeply influenced by the contrasts of my upbringing — between Kyrgyz traditions, Soviet pragmatism, and the ever-shifting landscapes of a young republic. Adulthood only amplified these contrasts: travel and expatriate life urged deeper reflection on my identity. My art is a space where activism and emotion converge. In recent works, I’ve confronted war, inequality, and the weight of stereotypes. Beyond these social themes, my paintings dive into the sensual and personal, exploring femininity and the quiet intensity of feeling.

Art, for me, is a call to connect, reflect, and challenge, or simply to lose myself with a brush in hand.
